In between walls .

Extracts from my book I may never publish" In between walls" .

 A part of Chapter 1

They drank the juice in silence, Theresa finally broke the silence.
“You know who I am right”?
“I think so the woman replied”
Theresa took a glance at the woman’s face, she seemed confused. She decided to put the woman out of her confusion. “I’m your daughter” she said.
The woman wore the facial expression of someone that had just seen a ghost. She took a deep breathe, stood up and open the door widely.
‘Please you can take your leave’, she told Theresa bluntly.
Theresa walked to the door supporting her swollen belly with her right hand. She gave the woman one last look and then walked away.

                    A part of chapter 2.
FLASHBACK (5YEARS AGO)

Theresa ran to the end of the street meanwhile ignoring her mother’s cry of plea, “Theresa don’t do this, please” she kept on repeating, but Theresa turned deaf ears to her mother’s plea. She ran straight into the moving lorry as Mr Akpan and his family put the last of set of luggage. Once she and her load were inside, Theresa sobbed softly, knowing she might never see her mother again. She was fed up of her endless quarrels with her mother. They practically argued about everything, she decided that leaving was the only solution. She didn’t know it was just the beginning of her pain.
